Luncheon and Keynote Speaker
Join us for lunch and our keynote speaker, Ron Hearst, meteorologist for Springfield's NBC affiliate, KY3. Ron will explain to us, "What's up with the Weather?"
Weather has been a lifelong passion for Ron. Traveling around the world as a youngster exposed him to many different types of weather, including hurricanes and blizzards.
He graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in meteorology and started working in television at WSIL-TV in Harrisburg, Ill. His second job was in Springfield, Mo., at KSPR-TV. Later, he went to KJRH in Tulsa, followed by KMOV in St. Louis. KY3 News has been home since 1993.
He enjoys outdoor sports, especially triathlons. Astronomy is another hobby and he loves spending time on his farm where he has a wonderful garden and grows a variety of fruits and vegetables.
